Not more snow - please

I woke at 3.00 a.m. and looked through the window.

We'd cleared all our snow and the drive and slope were passable but I wondered why we'd bothered. It wasn't supposed to snow here again - just flurries they'd said. These weren't flurries.

We must have had another six or seven inches and it was on top of frozen rain. Lethal.

So me and the neighbours cleared it all again and then I rewarded myself with a blissful swim. (And I had the outdoor pool to myself)

I just hope that's it for a few days !
