And so it begins....

Sadly not for my card recipients. However, I at last managed to get the cards written for my blind aunt and ready for posting. She’s still in hospital: well and desperate to get home. But yet to get the care package in place. She is apparently not alone!! That’s coming up to 6 weeks since she was declared fit to return home.

Good conversation today with an experienced panel member (20 Years) as we talked through the changes to the system over the years, the areas needing improvement and the need to get messages out in a more accessible way.

Then a good few hours on the digital programme; its progress and the very tight time frame in which we have to make progress. Challenging but not impossible though the session helped refocus on the overall timescale for delivery and what will be achieved when.

Evening visit to the hospital then after dinner had to lie down for a sleep. I sense but fervently hope I am not going down with the lurgy that’s hitting the office. Time for a hot toddy!
