inspired by my Quick Unpick

I have been putting off altering these trousers for far too long. My Quick Unpick made fast work of the first stage of the task. Now all I have to do is hand stitch the hems.

It must be fifty years ago since I owned my first Quick Unpick and it's still going strong. This one was a gift from a wardrobe mistress I helped to make costumes for a production of Carmen that Adrian was taking part in. I remember making endless aprons for the chorus - and the Quick Unpick came in very handy, needless to say.

I don't know who invented this handy little gadget, but I hope for his or her sake that it was patented.
