In the Post

In the post we now have 4 hand made cards. These 3 are the latest to get pride of place. The one on the left is from His Lordship’s brother, the middle one from #2 Friend of Many Talents, and the one on the right from our Fort William niece.

Having in the past made my own home grown cards, I know how much effort is involved and how special it makes them to the recipient. A huge thank you to Jim, Marjory and Carol not forgetting Granddaughter Nina’s robin card from last week.

We had an outing this morning in the inclement sleet showers to bring home copious quantities of wine. HL is the resident sommelier in the Dower House. I am that unusual person who has little interest in alcohol, although a Bailey’s or three always slip over very easily -but I‘d forego the added Vodka in future.

Some of the paths were just a trifle slippery and I had visions of one or both of us slipping and falling to be skewered by broken wine bottles. However the booze made it safely home to await consumption and we survive with limbs intact.
