Postcard from Devon

...still wet. Infact very wet!
Headed off to Appledore this morning but it absolutely chucked it down. Only saving grace was we had a great lunch in a cosy wee cafe. I had a lovely bowl of homemade soup and a 1/4 baguette, made with local cheddar cheese & apple chutney, we then shared a piece of delicious coffee & walnut cake:o) ... Ooh and on a wet and miserable day there is nothing for it but hot choclate!
Had intended to have a wander round a sculpture garden but it was still too wet, I sneaked in the bottom gate when the rain eased off a bit for a quick peek to see if it was worth returning tomorrow. We then headed back to Croyde to pick the boy up from his surf school, and what had once been a footpath to the beach was now a raging torrent of a river.
British weather at its best!
