My first booties, hand made by a shoemaker in winter 1947/1948. in postwar Germany where you could literally buy nothing. Such a work of love was paid for by maybe some wool, or some wine from the black market.

The leather is still soft, toes and heel have metal caps and they got new soles. Hubby loves them. So they will stay here.
