Through the spectacles
What a day for a Blipmeet!
We went to Waddesdon on a very cold and wet day, but what a fabulous time we have had! We arrived first and went straight to the wigwam which was freezing inspite of the log fires. Chantler63 was next to arrive and it was time to wrap ourselves up in the blankets. Was anyone else coming? Yes! Radiogirl arrived next and we were so pleased to see her as she hasn't been able to get to many blip meets recently and she even got the camera out. Then, our long distance traveller Terrifo arrived from Barnstaple! True dedication! So lovely to be all together! But we were cold! So, a little walk down to the stables and a proper room and some soup. Delicious! A bit more of a walk and it was time to go into the house where the decorations were animal-themed this year. I just admit I didn't think they were as good as previous years but the bathroom was a particular highlight.
Afternoon tea was calling us. So scummy! Complete with prosecco, which for some reason Radiogirl decided to throw over Rob. Hee Hee! Poor Rob! This will be forever remembered as the Blipmeet when Jane drenched Rob! (Slight exaggeration there)
As we were finishing tea, I started looking at Radiogirl in a rather peculiar way because I began to be able to see through the side of her spectacles and it was very weird and lovely and interesting so the camera came out again, and with a little help from my friends, this is what I ended up with! Thank you Jane for being my model. I love it!
It was definitely time to go and see the lightshow outside at that point and that was a great treat. It was brilliant! Best one I've seen. (Three!)
It really has been a lovely Blipping day with such fabulous people. The extra is the closing part of the lightshow projected onto the front of the house. Beginning to feel like Christmas.
Please think of my sister tomorrow as she moves house, ready to start a new phase in her life.
