Autumn scenes 1

I love the textures and shades in the Autumn hedgerows and heathland. I called in to take a few photos at Pipe Hall Heathland, after a trip back to my old haunts in Great Barr and Handsworth Wood.

As we head towards winter. the world is rather sombre and today, with the gloom and rain, it suited my mood.

Of course we notice just how much changes, but today I was struck by how much is still exactly the same as when I lived there with my wonderful husband. I'd called to put a plant on his grave on the anniversary of his death, and I was in quite a thoughtful mood (with a few tears...)
