Jamie had his first violin lesson for four or five years today.  He had reached Grade 3 standard quite quickly but ran out of steam for reasons difficult to explain succinctly.  However a few months back he got his violin out again and it has been played regularly since.  His new teacher is full of life and passionate about the instrument .... and about making it fun for players of all ages.  

For a Tiny Tuesday Blip, I chose Jamie's very first violin, one eighth size.  They go down to 1/64th size!  Jamie currently plays a three quarter instrument but we are looking for a full size one now.

In other news we hit the supermarket hard today in advance of Christmas and not including the cat, there were three of us around the table for dinner tonight which was nice :-)
