Industrial View
I was really desperate to get out today. I'd been good for most of the weekend and not made any unnecessary journeys when it was snowing.
I had the morning to myself before work so I took off to Trentham Gardens. All major routes were fine apart from some black ice where I slightly lost the rear end of the car on the roundabout at the entrance to the Trentham Estate.
I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful crisp, white and fluffy snow everywhere. This view was taken from one of the more remote paths around the edge of the gardens. The trees are Redwoods and Scots Pines.
The buildings in the background, are those of local industrial estates. A real reminder that this stately pile wasn't far from the industrial Potteries in its heyday. One of the reasons it was abandoned, and the Duke of Sutherland (originally the Marquis of Stafford) retreated to the Highlands. And we all know what happened when he went north!
The extra is the view looking back towards the Redwoods and Pines from the other side of the lake.
Throughout the rest of the day I was battling my dad's surgery to sort out changes to one of his prescriptions. By the end of the day, it still wasn't resolved. How did life get so complicated......?
