A is for acorns; B for bird; C for caravan

Pretty sure this is a European Stonechat; it's perching on a holm (or holly) oak. Loads of them around, and quite fearless, hopping about on the ground or flitting around the trees, chirrupping away.

Felt like Spring today - had a nap with bare legs and arms in the sunshine outside our building. Badly needed, not been sleeping well. And then Mike knocked off digging foundations for pump house, and we went for a walk, which is when we saw these birds, and goat kids, and lambs, and ducks flying across the path the setting sun was making on the Lake.

Jeff got to Santander in plenty of time for his crossing, really hoping it's not too rough for him. We woke up at 5am to give him breakfast before he left.

Mike and I explored our "new" caravan today - so sophisticated, and totally equipped, right down to board games and puzzles, tape recorder and tapes! Jim and Grace, you are wonders, so hoping you can come stay in it someday... The weird thing is how we've worked so hard on our building, and yet this is so much better equipped already.

Not even 9pm, but feeling like an early night... going down to 2C tonight, and getting under a warmed duvet feels like a good idea...
