Madagascar Day 2

Left the hotel at 7am continued our journey to Ranomafana National Park. We stopped briefly in a town and then for somewhere for lunch where I saw my first wild Chameleon and a very unusual leaf praying mantis.
After about a 7 hour drive we saw the large waterfall before arriving at the Ecolodge.

Tonight we had our first night walk in search of the Mouse Lemurs. The local guides had a spot where they smeared banana on tree branches which encouraged the local nocturnal lemurs to us; having said that they did not hang around for long at all and were very fast! I did have a very special moment, trying to photograph a chameleon in the darkness when a mouse lemur literally dropped down right in front of my face, too fast for any photos, but a fabulous memory!
On the night walk we also saw some tree frogs and very large spiders.
