Early this morning ....

.... I paid a visit to Maxwell Park.

I had a bag of wild bird food but there wasn't a gull, a duck, a coot or a moorhen to be seen. The freezing conditions sent them all to find a sheltered spot and some open water but I'm sure they will be back.
A solitary pigeon enjoyed a great breakfast of bird seed.

A blanket of cloud today has allowed the temperature to rise by a couple of degrees but never above zero. According to the IPad we are due for rain through the night so the white covering of frost will probably be gone by tomorrow.
