A first..........

........or my first blue banded bee!!
 How exciting! I never knew these existed until I saw a couple on blip. I didn't think we had them here in the west but on conferring with Prof Google it appeared we do. So, up at the clothesline this morning (yes, one of those domestic days) this little beastie was on the line. I wasn't wearing my specs so I just grabbed the macro and crept up on it. Managed a few shots before he buzzed off. Not the best pic but I'm just happy to have finally seen one :))
