Monday: 49th Parallel

Another new coffee shop has opened up near work. I have lost count of how many there are......let me see (stares vacantly into space as tries to count) - I can think of at least 12 in a five minute radius.

I do like the references to the 49th parallel here. It's quite nice to have a sense of your location in the world - I have no idea what parallel we are on in the the UK. I remember once in Croatia crossing the 48th parallel (there was a sign that told you it was the 48th parallel).

I think kd lang's 'Hymns of the 49th Parallel' is probably her best album.

Following Friday's rear ending I had an email from the insurance company on next steps but I have reassured them that neither the car, nor I, require any repairs.
