One of our local robins keeping in touch

It has been another cold day but brighter later. The sun did melt a few areas of snow hit by its rays direct but most of thew cover remains over the landscape. I cleared parts of the paths in preparation for the forecast big freeze this evening when the temperature may drop to minus 12 degrees C and spread some road salt and grit from the street bin over the worst area of our rather steep road. There is little traffic on it so it seldom melts on its own and no gritting lorries ever reach these parts.

After shopping for a few essentials I picked Helena up from her Monday teaching job and then came home to light the fire and settle in for a rather delightful and quiet evening. We started watching the second series of 'The Crown' and I rather enjoy it. there is a long way to go.
