People on a Bridge

Another day

We walked close to 12 miles today. LM had a meltdown last night, couldn't sleep, wanted to go home. Fortunately, today was better. We ended the day at the Spanish Plaza. What a great space!

I keep thinking of "the other". However messed up the US is right now, people of all colors, from all countries, are piled on top of each other, and forced to figure out how to get along. Some do it better than others. I have African-American colleagues, Asian colleagues, LM interacts with them regularly. I hope he ses them as regular folks, not as "the other". I also hope he doesn't generalize the qualities of these particular individuals onto their entire race/ethnicity. White people are all different; so are Black people, etc. Obvious, but gets people in trouble all the time.
