Hard Labour

Out for a run this evening and passed by my first workplace. I was a teenager when I started working here as a chamber maid - job sharing with a friend! I've swept those front steps many many times. When I was 18 I worked in the bar for a while too.
My friend and I thought we would like to 'go in to hotel management' when we grew up. Then we realised what a tough business it is. The family who ran this hotel and bar lived here and were on duty 24/7. They are not there now!
