These beautiful trees are in bloom all around Brisbane now.

I'm appreciating them more than ever, having been up at Landsborough which was hit by a tornado-strength storm, leaving hundreds of trees felled, roofs torn off and power lines down.

My son and his family live just outside Landsborough and could not get home for several hours, due to fallen trees across all approach roads.Thankfully, their home wasn't damaged; even so, it was a scary time for us all.
