Sundays at K's school are when the whole school gathers in the courtyard for raising of the flag, singing of the national anthem and checking of fingernails. K's didn't meet the standards today so she got her first smack on the hand :( My fault, negligent mother.

A frequent topic of conversion at the moment here with locals is Trump's decision re Jerusalem. Aaargh. Friends are angry and it's hard to know how best to respond.
