Going off road

Do something different every day.
I don't know where I read that but I thought that instead of my taking one of my usual walks I would go somewhere different.

So I went up to Sheriffmuir and took an
an old drovers road to Lossburn reservoir.

These ancient roads dissect Scotland and this one comes from the Highlands leading down to Falkirk market.

I met a shepherd, on a tractor, and we got talking. He told me he had been called out one evening to rescue a Range Rover that had got stuck, not in a ditch but high up on this mountain, deep in a bog.

What was he doing there asked the shepherd?

"Well," said the young man with his 5 day old £45,000 Range Rover " the advert says these vehicles will go anywhere."
