His last journey

And thousands of fans came to bid farewell from Johnny Hallyday at La Madeleine Church in Paris. The picture was taken after the last concert and the worship, with still many people around.

As some major areas in Paris were closed to traffic, we had this unique biking experience to have some of the streets for us (see first extra). Our day‘s goal was to discover a new area and we almost landed in Egypt. At least looking at the names of places and streets: Place du Caire, rue du Caire, rue d’Alexandrie, rue de Damiette, rue d’Aboukir…reminding Napoleon Bonaparte‘s french campaign in Egypt and Syria (1798-1801). Today it‘s a trendy area, with shops and restaurants (second extra: Rue du Nil).
