Burnt

You could say this shot speaks for itself: check out the purdy colours! But then I looked a little closer and I thought: this leaf really looks like it's been singed doesn't it, burnt by the change of seasons. Who knew autumn was quite so combustible?
I think spring and autumn are the most interesting seasons, because both are on their way to becoming something else: spring is summer not quite ready to unfurl in full force; autumn puts the world slowly to sleep before winter drifts in.
Oh 'eck, I'm off on one of my rambles again, aren't I? Someone throw a glass of water over me!
Yes, that is my hand.
