Stormy Kromer Days

Here in the Midwest, we have a semi-famous hat that is made in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. To be exact...it is made in Ironwood, Michigan. A local dealer of the hat was having a Stormy Kromer Days sale.

My son Jeff is striking two poses. Along with Merrick, he is posing in a regular-sized Stormy, and on the right...he is underneath a GIANT Stormy. (The store also brought in a pretty good ice carver to advertise the brand.)

I think Jeff has a hat in every color, and he is also sporting a Stormy Kromer jacket. As for me...before we left...I bought my third hat...a sporty gray one with a Michigan emblem sewn into the base.

When we try to explain what kind of hat it is...we say..."Think Elmer Fudd." (He was in the Warner Brothers cartoons...always hunting for Bugs Bunny. Look him up if you have to.)
