Gale hail blizzard

Something I never knew existed before I moved to Orkney. It's like being pelted by a thousand paintballers. With nothing to hide behind. And no goggles. I really want some walking/mountain goggles before I get blinded.

Thankfully this particular attack was over Hoy and not us. It's been crispy cold and windy but the sky has made up for it with displays like this.

Gorgeous' finger got redressed at the hospital, it looks more finger, less battered sausage today. Although I had to replace the dressing at home because it was absolutely rubbish. Years of animal first aid has come in handy. And he sits better than most animals too... He does anything for a biscuit.
