Angry Ball Boy

Todays Daddy day promised so much. The sun was out and all were happy. Boy had high expectations as had told all at nursery that he was going to spend the afternoon watching me do skateboard tricks, I don't know why, this is not something I do.

Just as Boy and I were heading out into the sunshine with me working out how to avoid skateboarding, we got a call. The roof man could come round straight away to take a look if we liked. So we turned round from our planned trip out and headed for home. The loft leak is not too bad, just a cracked tile. The Bay, well thats not so cheap as we basically need the roof of it recovered as it seems to have too many possible issues.

I managed to persuade the roof man to give it a bit of a clean and try a few things which if we are luckily may reduce the flow while we line him up to get the work done in the next few weeks. Boy quite enjoyed holding the ladder when I went up to have a look.

Unfortunately that was to be the end of Boy's good mood as he then fell to pieces. He has then spent the rest of the day needing or wanting something else that he has not got or is not doing and being incredibly vocal and physical about it.

So when we were going out he wanted to stay in, when we were staying in he wanted to go out. When we were going to the park he wanted to go home. When we were leaving the park he wanted to stay. Added to that he has spent the day pining for his playmobile motor bike man which was located it Wife's pocket at work.

He did calm on a few occasions, when he was asleep, when we were kicking a football and when we watched Mr Bean. Unfortunately the Mr Bean watching was not quite so calm as Girl really didn't want to watch it so she took the opportunity to go on the offensive.

I suppose I cant really be upset by any of the reactions. Maybe falling on my arse off a skateboard all afternoon may have been more fun, it may have even been less painful than watching Mr Bean, Girl would certainly agree.
