Panel 38 - Border Reivers and Kinmont Willie

We're a group of 12 from Smailholm in the Borders, stitching this great panel on the Border Reivers. It's very appropriate for us as we live in the shadow of Smailholm Tower, home of the reiving Pringle family. We're working on a large frame, so unfortunately you can't see the whole thing, but we're currently concentrating on the top two thirds. Our skills are very varied. A couple of the group are expert embroiderers, a couple more have good embroidery experience, but most of us do other types of sewing, so we're learning fast, but enjoying it hugely and having a lot of fun, not least in finding out about the history on our doorstep. We're really, really keen to see how other groups are getting on, so we hope others will post on Blipfoto.
