Visiting this time.....

All set for our visitors I think so I was able to spend time at a small Christmas Fair at church and made a few more purchases. I must get wrapping then any gaps will become clear.

This afternoon we went to the PRU again. Not for D but to visit a friend who is there and who is really very unwell. It's hard to see someone so diminished by disease. She has been taken to Guys every day this week by ambulance using their blue lights so the journey there and back is as quick as it can be for her.

Yet this afternoon we laughed together and talked of good times we'd shared. Her husband is a long time friend of D and became an adopted brother-in-law for the walking weekends that the boys began many years ago now. The group that has now grown to up to 17 walkers. His wife would join us while the boys were away. He and their two daughters are facing up to the inevitable and had a long talk with doctors today. She has a strong faith and is assured of her future. But we are very sad and that is allowed....

Then home to await the arrival of the young people. Great to have them here, although very briefly. They have booked a cab for 4.30 am.....
