The Maersk Innovator is a "Jack Up" Drilling Rig. the term jack up refers to the 3 legs (one is partial obscured by the derrick) that the rig "Jacks up and down as required, right now the rig is standing on the seabed (depth is around 3ooft) with around 350ft of the legs above water , when the rig is moved the legs are fully jacked up they are 670ft above the water.
