Late afternoon at the castle

After Pilates we travelled to Scampston Hall to choose a Christmas tree. Richard always views this with trepidation as I like a well balanced tree. However, his fears were unfounded as we were back home in under an hour including travel.

We had plans to travel to an Orienteering event near Eyam in the Peak District on Sunday, with an amber weather warning for snow the organisers have sensibly postponed the event.

As Jet and I returned home the light was particularly good and I couldn’t resist the bear trees that surround the castle.
