To Norway and Beyond

Kristent Interkulturelt Arbeid

Every Tuesday I've been going to KIA - Kristent Interkulturelt Arbeid for a Norskkafé where I can practice speaking Norwegian with native speakers. They give a presentation at the beginning about a topic - so far we've looked at a general overview of Norway, politics, and the viking age. Then we're encouraged to go and talk about the week's topic, but the conversation never really goes that way!

It's been really great so far, and I've met many interesting people from different countries and I've improved my speaking and understanding a lot. The free coffee and snacks aren't bad either! Though they are a religious organisation it's never really come up in conversation. I'll miss it when I move to Hamar, they don't have a branch there. :(
