Bird of Prey

I think it is a sparrowhawk but someone can correct me if I’m wrong. It was sitting atop a street light, as you see. Each time I got too near for its liking it flew to the next one. It had quite a wingspan and looked really good in the sunshine. I had several attempts to photograph it in flight but I had the dog with me and he wouldn’t oblige by sitting still for a minute. I was quite cross with the dog after three botched attempts but it wasn’t really his fault. I’d walked him to the retail park where I had a few things to do and there are many smells of great interest to a dog round that part of town. This was about 09:00 this morning.

The rest of the day I’ve spent working though luckily for me at home. It is a beautiful day but very cold with snow on the hills.
