Camouflage

As the first of the winter storms swept in it was in  turns glorious and grim in our little corner of Cumbria. This little fellow was busy stocking his larder, it's easy to see how he could disappear in our native beech woodlands.

We had a whole morning with our fostering Assessor, a much more thorough process than we remember from last time. Weekly meetings now for the next two months (some together, some apart) before County Panel.
Then an engineer came to service the oven as part of the warranty. I'd kinda thought it would be a gimmick, but he spent an hour, took it apart, put all the shiny bits in a vat of heated alkaline solution and left us with a brand new oven lol. It was an amazing service, but apparently their whole business model is that people forget to book the service and it invalidates the warranty. Fortunately the staff in the shop made us put it in our diaries when we bought it.

All that then remained was to take pooch out ahead of the forecast snow and then batten the hatches and pick up a book.
