Storm Caroline is Arriving
A windy morning from the south, and slowly swept round to the north. There was some sunny spells and blue skies, but the showers and rain took over.
I was at the doctor first thing, and then off to work. It's been a morning on the museum desk, and a steady start. I had the afternoon off, and was meant to work this evening, but I got a phone to say the museum was closing due to the weather. So it's been an evening by the fire, and might get out with Sammy at some point.
Storm Caroline has lived up to here name, and fairly fierce too. Winds over 90mph, cold and battering the isles. Tree branches fallen, sheds blown away, and more damage about the place. We had a power cut for almost 3 hours too. The worst was between 4pm and 7pm, so probably missing the best waves due to darkness. I nipped to have a look after lunch, and the waves were starting to roll in here at St Ninians Isle, Bigton.
