Glass samples
We were up early this morning to ensure that we ate our breakfast, checked out of the hotel, and reached Turku railway station in good time to catch the 08:30 train to Helsinki. All went to plan, and at 10:25 we handed ourselves over to the care of alfthomas and ArcLight for the rest of the day.
We've had a great time catching up with our friends, and getting to know the city. Our first expedition was to Arabia for lunch and to visit some of the craft shops. My not-so-little sister has asked me to take a Moomin home for her, so one was purchased for her here. Then we took the tram back into town . Here we visited the University library, ArcLight's office, Senate Square, Bryggeri (I had a couple of glasses of grogi, the others opted for beer), and an indoor market (a tin of reindeer pâté was purchased for consumption on Christmas day).
This evening the four of us are looking forward to supper at Aito Ravintola.
My blip is of glass samples in one of the shops at the Arabia centre. The goods and displays were so beautiful that I declared it 'the opposite of IKEA'.
Exercise today: walking (8556 steps).
