Italia '18

My Mum was 80 this year; she has always longed to go to Italy but won't fly so has never made it there. I have offered to take her for years and she always says no but this time she unexpectedly said yes. We have had a flurry of activity with passports and insurance, and today I booked the trip before she can change her mind. 

A few days in Rome and then a train to Venice for a couple of days before flying home- as I've been before I won't mind taking everything at a fairly slow pace and I have stayed at the hotels before so I know what to expect.

John thinks I am barmy as my Mum and I do tend to drive each other bananas but I have 5 months to mentally prepare myself....
