Munich

Quick afternoon and evening trip to Munich to meet up with sisters and family and have a glass of Glühwein or three.

In total we were nine so always a bit difficult finding one another and staying together when someone is hungry, the other thirsty and another wants some live music action.

First stop centre of Munich at the Marienplatz with the big tree in front of gthe new Rathaus (city hall) and flanked by the old Rathaus. Then over to the Oktoberfest grounds to the Alternative - Organic, Crafts, Environment, Social, Cultural - Tollwood Winter Market with loads of foods from different parts of the world and live music bands. Democracy is an ice sculpture.

Tollwood also has a summer version at the Olympic Park grounds.

Really enjoyed it but not enough time.
