Shambles

A day of ups and downs.

We had more extremely worrying news out of London about the politics of Brexit. In particular, the UK Government admitted it hasn't yet decided what its objective is - in terms of what deal it is seeking with the EU. Well, if it doesn't know where it's going that would explain its confusion about how to get there.

There was more than that, but enough is enough for one day.

On a very positive note, I was at the hospital again today for another ultrasound scan - a different part of the decrepit old carcass this time. Another "all clear". Another positive experience, as I was seen exactly on time.

Mind you, two hospital visits in as many weeks for ultrasound scans did make me think of Germany, where those procedures would be carried out at your GP practice. Much easier for everyone involved...

Ah yes, the Blip. The Brexit shambles being further exposed today did remind me of the Scottish Government's contrasting approach to preparation for the 2014 independence referendum. 640 pages of detail - not all the answers to all the questions, but serious analysis and proposals.

Those who know about the Wee Blue Book can guess why I was looking at it.
