Contrasts
Yesterday was the coldest, bleakest day we've had this season. It was the first time I wasn't able to wear shorts since February. The sun broke through today and it's already ten degrees warmer. I will be wearing my shorts again (!) to my doctor's appointment in Tucson this afternoon.
I call this time of year "change your clothes three times a day" season. When I wake up tomorrow, I expect it to be quite cold, around 32°/0°, so I will have to dress snugly. But the sun will be out and the day will warm - so it's shorts again. The very moment the sun sets, the temperature plummets - and time for the third change of clothes (jeans, jacket) rolls around.
I thought this was a pretty cool sunrise; especially, as you can see in the extra, because there were pretty wisps and swirls in the sky away from the main attraction.
EDIT: I flipped the photos. After seeing them in expanded view, I liked the shot I had used as the extra better :-)
