Dead Flowers

I was woken awfully early this morning by the stairs creaking.
As I got up to investigate there was a thump, thump, thump, thump on the bedroom door jam.
PD had obviously been delivered early - it was him coming upstairs (something he has never done before) and then his wagging tail hitting the door jam.
It turns out the livingroom door had been shut last night so he couldn't get in to go to his bed so he had come upstairs to tell us.

So we were out of the house for a walk slightly earlier than usual.
That meant ti was really quite dark and taking pictures without a tripod was almost impossible because of the long exposure times.
Nearly - but not quite! ........ just a case of move the camera lens up during the exposure.

After lunch and our walk SWMBO had a cull of some of the really dead and 'past it' flowers that she got 3 weeks ago.
Some of them have been spared the compost heap because they still look good despite being dead.
Rather than photographing all of them I shot some single stems - carnationsmums and roses (there are more pictures if you want to scroll around).

No camera club tonight as I have a Craft Association meeting.
I feel it may be slightly fractious as the craft fairs have not gone particulary well this year and there seems to be a reluctance from members to get involved in the organising and running of the Association.
