UNDERNEATH THE ARCHES

Our new secondhand car showed up a fault on the journey south and back, so we phoned the garage we bought it from when we got to Farnham (within the warranty period) and took it over there (one day outside the warranty period) when we got back. They were happy to deal with it, but it turns out to be a recall that should have been done before we bought it anyway. A software update to the gearbox - what is the world coming to?
