Coming up Roses

For the last week our company has been head down arse up not figuratively but literally, in one of our Satellite towns, there has been a Fibrous Material clogging up tap filters on modern tapware, washing Machines ,Showers etc. All this week myself and a colleague have been working late to help resolve low water pressure issues and we have been looking more like bike stands than anything else, working on the shut off taps at the boundary and then cleaning blocked filters in the house. This evening it has been announced by our District Council  that the fibres are Asbestos, this has put the cat amongst the pigeons as the ill and uniformed are jumping on the Band Wagon preaching it's dangerous. Fortunately it's not in its wet state or if ingested. I have a feeling this may expedite future renewal work on many of the District's Water Mains. The great thing I have found is everyone I have had to do work for have been very patient and pleasant. One lady kept appologising to me for ringing up about having a low water pressure problem.
