FLY FISHING

Had a day out with a friend to a beautiful little lake south of Rotherham for a spot of fly fishing, or 'Fluff Chucking' as we like to call it. The venue was so lovely and tranquill and restricted to 6 anglers. ~The day was remarkably warm and sunny, perhaps too sunny for the best type of fishing, however, that didn't seem to deter the trout from giving us great views as they leapt out of the water in search of their prey. We were told that more than 200 fish weighing between 15 - 20 lb, 6 fish over 20 lb and hundreds between 2 & 10 lb. I had 6 fish (all returned) but only up to 3lb, Barry had 7 fish and his biggest was a 7 lb brown trout, again all returned to the water.
Our first time there, but we'll certainly go again, brilliant day out.
