A night at the theatre - Ash Bradnam the Musical

In the lead up to Nova Brisbane brekky host Ash Bradnam's 40th birthday, he was adamant that there was to be no fuss, and certainly no song and dance. So in the true Nova style they did the complete opposite. The result? Ash Bradnam the Musical.

Chris and Fran headed to the Powerhouse to see the show, starting the night with drinks and an acoustic performance from The Veronicas before heading into the theatre, not knowing what to expect.

What they saw were some uniquely Nova-esque musical numbers including "All That's Ash", "Bogan Rhapsody" and Ikon's particular favourite; Gangnam Style, with the story of Ash's 40 years told through song and dance performed by the Nova team in a variety of forgotten wardrobe favourites you'd find at your Dad's garage sale.

The highlight of the night however was the finale; "Ash Will Survive" - led by a ballsy Brad who dragged up for the occasion... with maybe more than a little dutch courage. Flanking Brad with some their best Saturday Night Fever moves were Em and Alana who played the part like pros!

A hilarious night out and a stellar performance from the Nova team to celebrate Ash's birthday. One we're sure he'll never forget.
