Under the Moon of Love
Tonight’s blip comes courtesy of Toolibelle’s Diary.
We all awoke slightly hanging from the night before. I don’t know how we didn’t die of heatstroke in the night.
The good thing about tent life is there is very little gaffing so we were up and away for brekkie sharp.
We went to a little restaurant we went to last time. I had scrambled eggs on toast, Lala had gluten free French toast and Tuna had a salmon bagel. Tuna then went to get her ear pierced.
It was in a really nice shop and laurie and I watched over a ledge, we also greeted people as they came in the door. She didn’t cry but her ear bled a little.
We then headed for the lagoon (much nicer than Cairns) and sunbathed there for a while. I did a trip to get frozen cokes - think I’ve got an addiction for them coming on. We swam and sunbathed and then tuna got asked by a guy to put suncream in his back. The poor boy will be getting burnt to a crisp because it was not rubbed in and there were parts missing. LaLa and I had to walk off because we were laughing so hard. Felt so bad.
After lagoon we went shopping for a bit and then to Woolies for some dinner and insect repellant. We are covered in bites, tuna more so but we don’t know whether it’s she’s actually just got chicken pox.
For dinner we boiled potatoes and corn on the cob and cooked burgers. We then threw the potatoes in too to crisp them up. This camping malarkey is easy pleasey.
Tuna and I then went for a run down the beach. Everyone showered and then we had gluten free s’mores round the stove with pokey sticks and all.
Tent was a much better temperature for sleeping. The sleeping bags even got opened this time.
