Gifts of the Magi
I’ve made these little pouches/Christmas favours a couple of times over the years to give out at the Carols & Mince Pies coffee morning and this year I thought I’d do them again. Gadgetkid had sent some frankincense and myrrh for me recently, so grateful.
So inside these festive pouches is very fragrant frankincense, myrrh and some gold (not real ofcourse) buttons and tinsel shreds. With a scroll describing the significance of each of these precious gifts that the Magi brought to Jesus.
Sharon helped me with this project, she did the gruelling task of cutting the netting and she was very precise! Much more than I would have been. She sews, so that helps I guess!
These little parcels are ‘VERY’ adapted from a gift that Gadgetkid and G gave us many many years ago, presented in a lovely small wooden Indian chest which is opened every Christmas.
Parcels all ready and I’m feeling like a huge task is ticked off the list. Later in the day I decorated our tree and can almost say “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas ...” here :).
