i'm not into american politics. at all. however, i was excited to get home and watch the ceremony today. it really feels like history in the making. i had a lump in my throat a few times. obama seems like a truly humble and intelligent (hoorah!) man and i look forward to seeing what he does.

a few things though:

a) americans, you did well. but nobody can do pomp and ceremony like the British. that's a fact.

b) BBC, please don't talk over the most important ceremony ever with your mindless chit chat. thanks.

c) BBC, my second point. i understand that it is a monumental time for african americans but seriously, there must have been a white face in that crowd somewhere. anywhere?

d) whoever it was that did the benediction, you can be my new best friend.
