Progress Report

Jackson’s report arrived today and we were delighted to see he has reached 78.6% attendance. Though in an Alanis Morissette homage he was at home when it arrived. A bit of a rough day for him but his resilience continues to amaze us and he has come back this evening and is set to be back tomorrow.

Reports all round as this afternoon was Anna’s first parents’ evening at secondary school. And out first experience of seeing 12 teachers in an hour. Or so; there was inevitable running over. It was quite a whirlwind but a very happy one as we basically spent an hour being told how great she is which is obviously lovely for us to hear. And very good for her to hear her teachers talking about her that way. Especially the subjects she is less confident in. And out of 12 only one of the teachers was frankly horrible which I think is a pretty good ratio.

All this goodness helped ease the pain of a Monday that followed such a fun weekend. Even if all the teachers looking so young did make me feel 104.
