The Smeller

Today was our first outdoor nosework lesson. Not only was it exciting to start outdoor searches, which are harder because of all the disturbances, it was also daylight. Brilliant!

These two tea strainers are what they call a smeller. In one, there is eucalyptus scent and a treat. The other one is empty. My job, as a warmup exercise, is to find and show mum which one has the scent in it. Easy peasy!

We did six searches. The eucalyptus was hidden in all sorts of tricky places, but I found all of them! I even got a special mention by the teachers. Proud!
