The mothership has landed....

Fans of sci-fi movies will understand why this dramatic cloud made me stop and watch for signs of alien invasion today, the Howgills and cloud are always a magical combination.

A day of sorting AGM 'matters arising' . Twas great to personally call our four new 2018 Ambassadors who get to launch our partnership with Montane (&win lots of shiney new kit). We have the highest equity ratio of any higher mountaineering award, and we're the only Association to come close to having a leaders gender split that (nearly) matches participation. So it was only ever going to be 2 male and 2 female though we did let people self declare as is current best practice. The beards lead me to belive no-one gamed the system, but you never know....
I also started writing the guidance notes for our soon to be launched formal mentoring process, something I'm hoping may eventually lead to changes in how our members can qualify, thus widening the potential access to a career in the outdoors.
